Apartment building (Schiedam - The Netherlands)

Station Square in Schiedam features a new apartment building that forms part of the Schieveste redevelopment plan. Schieveste is a new city district that is to become the new heart of Schiedam. For the apartments the architect needed facade grilles that meet the ventilation and protection requirements of Onderlinge Nutsbedrijven Schiedam (ONS). In addition, the grilles needed to be vandal-proof. The ventilation grilles in the speed gates (which offer access to the covered car parks) also needed to be aligned with the other grilles.

Merford supplied and installed a transformer facade that meets the ONS requirements, as well as facade grilles for the bicycle shed and container area. Merford also installed the grilles for the speed gates.
